Scrap Metal Pickup
Scrap metal does not belong in the regular junk pile. Old appliances, metal furniture, copper, wiring, and similar pieces route to Schnitzer / Radius Recycling — and any eligible metal value received at the recycler is credited back to you.
Why this service matters
Scrap Metal Pickup
Best for appliances, metal furniture, gym frames, water heaters, copper pipe, wiring, and other scrap metal that should not be lumped with general waste.
This page explains the service clearly: what gets hauled, what customers should expect, and where the crew can help fastest.
How this lane works
We separate scrap metal out of standard cleanouts and haul it to a real metal recycler — Schnitzer Steel / Radius Recycling — rather than tossing it in with general waste. That covers old refrigerators and washers, metal patio furniture, gym frames, water heaters, BBQ grills, bicycles, copper pipe, electrical wiring, and similar material.
Here is the important part for the customer: any eligible scrap metal value we receive at the recycler is credited back to you. That credit can be applied against the same job’s cleanout pricing or returned, depending on the load. Final amounts are confirmed after the recycler weighs and grades the material.
Pricing for the haul itself still depends on volume, access, and how heavy or mixed the load is. Photos help us scope the pickup and tell you up front which items are likely to generate a metal credit.

Yes — any eligible scrap metal value we receive at Schnitzer / Radius for your load is credited back to you. Final amounts are confirmed after the recycler weighs and grades the material.
Service FAQ
What counts as scrap metal?
Common scrap includes appliances (fridges, washers, dryers, water heaters), metal furniture, gym equipment frames, BBQ grills, bicycles, copper pipe, electrical wiring, and similar metal pieces.
Service FAQ
Do appliances still have disposal fees?
Some appliances (especially fridges and freezers with refrigerant) have specialty disposal fees regardless of metal value. Those fees are disclosed up front in the estimate.
Service FAQ
Can I just drop it off?
This service is for pickup — we collect the metal, haul it to the recycler, and credit the eligible metal value back to you. If you prefer to drop it off yourself, Schnitzer / Radius accepts public scrap directly.
